A lot of us seem to get quite intimidated when we hear anything relating to Information Technology (IT). We can begin to empower ourselves by learning about basic IT skills which could increase our employability chances. As we gradually emerge from the grips of Covid19 some of us will need to re-think our career prospects as the pandemic is expected to have an impact on the labour market.

A very basic area to start off with in IT is learning about Microsoft Office 365 (O365). Most establishments/organisations are now or have recently adopted O365. Follow this link to learn more about O365.

If you’re able to familiarise yourself with the different applications within O365 suit such as MS Teams, OneNote, SharePoint, OneDrive, Yammer, Sway, MS Booking, and the more traditional applications such as Word, Excel and Power Point then you would have increased your employability chances greatly.

There are other IT areas which are currently highly sought after but for beginners I’ll suggest starting off with Microsoft Office 365 and possibly taking a few courses on the application where possible before progressing to more technical areas. We will be expanding further on these over the coming weeks and months.
